Abstract: | T-shirts worn by individual children were correctly identified by the siblings and mothers of those children through olfactory cues alone. Furthermore, parents correctly distinguished between the odors of otherwise identical shirts worn by two of their own children. Bodily odors may therefore be salient stimuli for kin recognition among humans. |
