| Abstract: | The level of von Willebrand factor ( VWF ) in 37 p'atients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever ( EHF ) was determined by enzyme-linked immunosor-bent assay ( ELISA ) . It was found that the level of plasma VWF increasing in febrile stage, reached a peak at oliguria stage and gradullx restored to normal in diuretic stage. The level of plasma VWF was markedly increased in severe patients. The authors think that the endothelial tissue is damaged in EHF and VWF level will be an indicator of the prognosis of EHF. |
