| Abstract: | Abstract A paucity of research exists on thick descriptions of family functioning. Using in-depth semi-structured interviews, this paper presents the case study of a family that has close, positive relationships. The results reveal that the family's spiritual beliefs and practices are delicately interwoven into every aspect of the family's life. These results highlight the importance of professionals identifying and drawing on the spirituality of family members as a source of strength and support for the families they serve. |
