| Abstract: | adult corpses were irrigated through the femoral argery with red emulsion and fixed with 10% formalin. And then the superior thyroid artery and its adjacent structures were anatomized under the surgical microscope. Superior thyroid artery was 27.6±0.82 mm in length, (2.16±0.07) mm in diameter; cricothyoid branch was (1.26±0.55) mm in diameter; superior thyroid vein was (2.82±0.86) mm in diameter; superior root of cervical loop was (1.83±0.16)mm in diameter; expernal branch of superior laryngeal nerve was (1.38±0.26) mm in diameter. The clinical significance of these structures was discussed in the present study. |
