Analysis of the mutations of BRCA1 gene in 38 breast cancer patients

Objective:To analyse the mutations of BRCA1 gene from 38 breast cancer patients. Methods:SSCP (Single Strand conformational polymorphism,SSCP)and sequencing methods.Results:Four out of thirty eight (10.5%)cases had mutated,3 cases mutations intron splicing region,one mutation in exon 11.Conclusion:Mutation analysis of BRCA1 may be helpful for determining the developmental potentia, earlier dignosis and gene therapy of breast cancer.
