| Abstract: | acetabular preparation is of critical importance for the long term success of cernentless acetabular components.The goals of this preparation are to provide intimate bony prosthesis contact and initial component stability. Technical aspects of the procedure including osteophyte removal, component positioning, controversies concerning on line versus underrearning of the acetabulum, and screw and component insertion are outlined. |
