Biological activity of some aldose-containing compounds

Several aldose-containing compounds, including di-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-bis-diphenylsilyl-2,2,4,4-tetraphenylcyclodisilazane, di-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-bis-dimethylsily-2,2,4,4-tetramethylcyclodisilazane, 1-β-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl)-D-glucopyranosyl-2-pyrrolidone, and-ε-caprolactam were synthesized and examined for biological activity. The synthesized compounds suppress the growth and development of phytopathogenic microbes.
