Management of average hospitalization days in large public hospitals

Objective To investigate the practice and efficiency of management of average hospitalization days in large public hospitals.Methods The average hospitalization days were managed and controlled by formulating an assessment protocol,strictly controlling the interval between operations,vigorously developing daytime surgery,improving the efficiency of imaging examinations,and accelerating post-operative rehabilitation.Results After the implementation of comprehensive management and control measures,the average hospitalization days were reduced annually.Conclusion On the premise of ensuring good quality of medical service,effectively shortening the average hospital stay is conducive to reducing patient medical expenses,improving patient satisfaction,and helping hospitals to reduce medical service costs and improve operational efficiency.
