Abstract: | The Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, established itself as an innovator and standard-bearer in the field of radiology during the early part of the century by starting the first radiologist training program and the first tumor clinic in the United States. Now celebrating its 90th anniversary, the department has built on its earlier achievements by investing in training and research projects that are expected to further advance its commitment to radiology. "The hospital has continued to be at the forefront of developments in radiology, and now we have expanded the tremendous clinical experience and clinical training into research," says Juan Taveras, MD, MGH radiologist-in-chief since 1971 |
