| Abstract: | Objective To discuss the effect of dentin porcelain thickness on the shade of PFM. Methods Groups of PFM samples with different dentin porcelain thickness（0. 3mm,0. 6mm ,0.9mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm）were fabricated by using SHOFU Vintage Halo A2 dentin porcelain cement, L＊ a＊ b＊ value were tested with the chronometer, and the C＊ab value were calculated. The shade difference between samples and VITA A2 shade guide was compared. Results The L＊ value decreased with the increase of the dentin porcelain thickness, while the a＊ , b＊ values increased. There was no significant difference between samples and shade guide when dentin porcelain thickness was 1.2mm-1.5mm. Conclusion Dentin porcelain can only have the same effect as shade guide when the thickness is within a certain range. |
