| Abstract: | OBJECTIVE To observe the expression of histamine receptor in nasal mucosa of healthy volunteers,and preliminarily elucidate the expression of various subtypes of histamine receptor in nasal mucosa of healthy adults,thus to provide theoretical basis for understanding the role of histamine and its receptor in nasal pathophysiology.METHODS The mucous membrane of inferior turbinates of ten healthy volunteers were taken under surface anesthesia.The expression of four subtypes of histamine receptor was detected using immunohistochemistry and semi-quantitative RT-PCR.RESULTS Four subtypes of histamine receptor were all expressed in nasal mucosa of healthy volunteers.The expression of HR1 was stronger than that of other three receptors（P0.01）,and the expression of HR4 was more significant than that of HR2 and HR3（P 0.05）.No significant difference was found between the expression of HR2 and HR3（P=0.773,0.546）.CONCLUSION Four subtypes of histamine receptor were expressed in nasal mucosa of healthy people,and the order of their expression intensity was HR1HR4HR2≈HR3. |
