Early detection of infantile endocarditis by gallium — 67 scintigraphy |

| Abstract: | An infant with suspected soft tissue infection of the knee was studied by 67Ga-scintigraphy. In addition to knee and hip joint increased activity, heart uptake was also demonstrated prior to the development of clinical signs of endocarditis. The early detection and treatment resulted in satisfactory clinical resolution. |
