Emperimental study of sicca syndrome (SS) on model mice with liuwei dihuang pill

Objective To research the function of liuwei dihuang pill on the mice having sicca syndrome（ss）.Methods Freund＇s adjuvant,pertussis,diphtheria,tetanus combined vaccine and glandula angularis of the same race mice antigen derivation were used to interfere in SS model mice with liuwei dihuang pill and observe its effect on SS model mice with salivary secretion function and the index of submandibular gland.The level of serum IFN-γ and IL-6 were also detected by immunohistochemical method.Results Liuwei dihuang pill could increase salivary secretion and the index of submandibular gland of model mice.It also could decrease the level of serum IFN-γ and IL-6 of the SS model mice significantly.Conclusion Liuwei dihuang pill has the therapeutic effects on the SS model mice.The down-regulation of the level of serum IFN-γ and IL-6 of the SS model mice may play an important role in the treatment.
