A Meta Analysis of Eye Acupuncture Combined with Rehabilitation Training in the Treatment of Motor Dysfunction After Stroke

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of eye acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training in the treatment of motor dysfunction after stroke.Methods:MEDLINE,Cochrane Library,CBM,CNKI,Wanfang and VIP were searched for randomized controlled trials of eye acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training in the treatment of motor dysfunction after stroke from the establishment of the database to November 31,2019.Results:A total of 12 randomized controlled trials involving 1017 patients were included.The Meta analysis showed that compared with the conventional rehabilitation group,eye acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training in the treatment of motor dysfunction after stroke had significant differences in improving activities of daily living[MD=12.68,95%CI(9.71,15.64)],improving motor function[MD=14.35,95%CI(6.28,22.42)],and clinical effective rate[MD=1.40,95%CI(1.17,1.68)].Conclusion:Compared with conventional rehabilitation treatment,eye acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training has better clinical effect in improving motor function and activities of daily living.However,due to the small sample size and the low quality of research methodology,the quality of evidence in this system is reduced.In the future,more high-quality,multicenter and large sample experiments are needed to verify the conclusion.
