| Abstract: | The gelatinolytic activity of acrosomal proteinases of rabbit spermatozoa can be observed maximally up to about 100 h after washing and incubation of the spermatozoa in Brakett's defined medium at 37 degrees C. It is independent of sperm motility and seems to be provable as long as the acrosomal membranes remain intact. In a defined in vitro system this phenomenon appears to be a function of time and temperature. |
