Abstract: | The suicide of Sylvia Plath is examined from the perspective of 15 theories of suicidal behavior and is found to fit best with psychoanalytic and cognitive theories of suicide , in particular those of Aaron Beck , Henry Murray , and Edwin Shneidman . |
