Abstract:Objective To investigate the current status and the trend of the resistance of Musca domestica to commonly used insecticides in Yangpu District of Shanghai, China, and we provide theoretical basis for the scientific and rational fly governance. Methods Topical application was used to test the median lethal dose (LD50) of female M. domestica. SPSS 25.0 was used to calculate the toxicity baselines of insecticides. Results From 2010 to 2020, the resistance ratios of M. domestica to beta-cypermethrin were 7.91, 7.21, 8.95 and 19.42 respectively; the resistance appeared increase tendency, and LD50 in 2020 was statistical significantly higher than LD50 in 2013, 2016 and 2018 (P<0.05). The resistance ratios to deltamethrin were 118.46, 75.38 and 121.54 respectively; the resistance decreased first and then increased. The resistance ratios to permethrin were 15.23, 31.00 and 38.69 respectively; the resistance appeared increase tendency, and LD50 in 2013 and 2020 were statistical significantly higher than LD50 in 2010 (P<0.05). The resistance ratios to propoxur were 62.61, 36.14 and 54.86 respectively; the resistance decreased first and then increased, and LD50 in 2013 was statistical significantly higher than LD50 in 2018 (P<0.05). The resistance ratios to pirimiphos-methyl were 13.03, 30.16 and 11.82 respectively; the resistance increased first and then decreased, and LD50 in 2013 was statistical significantly higher than LD50 in 2010 and 2018 (P<0.05). There was difference between the resistance of M. domestica to five species of insecticides from 2010 to 2020, and the differences of the resistance ratios were statistically significant (F=10.528, P=0.014). Conclusion M. domestica developed different resistance level to five species of insecticides in Yangpu District of Shanghai, and it is suggested that propoxur should be used cautiously, and deltamethrin should be deprecated. It′s important to prevent the resistance in vector governance, and it′s much more important to implement the strategies of "green governance", in order to set out a way of economical, secure, sustainable vector control.
