Abstract: | The placement of large silver amalgam restorations in resin posterior teeth seems to be a simple method to produce a more natural feeling and to improve efficiency of the teeth. Wear of the resin teeth is also reduced. Patients may like the esthetic features, but this factor is secondary. This technique is most logically applied when resin teeth must be used because of limited interarch distance or when the denture opposes extensive metallic restorations. |
