多发性硬化患者的颅脑CT表现

报告32例多发性硬化患者的CT检查结果,对多发性硬化的CT表现作了系统的分析和描述,发现有多数性低密度斑影,多分布在脑室周围区域,脑室系统扩大及脑皮层萎缩。个别患者在活动期出现增强现象,多数患者可发现静止性病灶。CT扫描可协助确定多发性硬化空间多灶性病变的特点,是一项客观的、有价值的辅助检查方法。

COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Brain CT scans were taken in 32 pa-tients with multiple sclerosis. In additionto the routine scan, contrast enhancementscans were also done in 17 cases. The results showed that 81% of 32cases had abnormalities on CT. The CT find-ings included: (1)Multiple decreased densityplaques which were found in 71.8% ofcases with lesion consisting of 114 foci dis-tributed in the areas of periventricle semioval center, subcortical, brain stem and ce-rebellar etc. Among 21 cases, every patienthad more than two lesions; (2) ventricularenlargement in 59.3% of the cases; (3) cor-tical atrophy in 31.2% of the cases; (4)focal areas of contrast enhanced lesionswere found only in one patient with anacute illness. In this group of patients 94.4% of thecases whose course had been prolonged formore than two years exhibited abnormali-ties oil CT, and all the patients in theacute stage of illness were found to havelesions. It is suggested that CT findingsappear to be related to the course andstage of the disease. the silent focal lesionswere revealed in 91% of the cases. It can be concluded that CT scan isvery useful for finding the multiple spaciallesions in the patients with multiplesclerosis.
