半乳糖凝集素-9和T细胞免疫球蛋白黏蛋白分子3在口腔扁平苔藓和口腔鳞状细胞癌组织中的表达及临床意义

目的探讨半乳糖凝集素-9(Galectin-9)和T细胞免疫球蛋白黏蛋白分子3(TIM3)在口腔扁平苔藓和口腔鳞状细胞癌组织中的表达及临床意义。方法收集42例口腔扁平苔藓组织、25例口腔鳞状细胞癌组织及30例正常口腔黏膜组织,采用免疫组织化学染色法检测3种组织中Galectin-9和TIM3的表达情况,分析Galectin-9和TIM3表达情况与口腔扁平苔藓和口腔鳞状细胞癌患者临床特征的关系,采用Pearson相关分析法分析口腔扁平苔藓及口腔鳞状细胞癌患者中Galectin-9和TIM3表达的相关性。结果口腔鳞状细胞癌组织中Galectin-9的阳性表达率低于口腔扁平苔藓组织和正常口腔黏膜组织,TIM3的阳性表达率高于正常口腔黏膜组织,差异均有统计学意义(P﹤0.05);口腔扁平苔藓组织中Galectin-9的阳性表达率低于正常口腔黏膜组织,TIM3的阳性表达率高于正常口腔黏膜组织,差异均有统计学意义(P﹤0.05)。糜烂型口腔扁平苔藓患者口腔扁平苔藓组织中Galectin-9的阳性表达率低于非糜烂型口腔扁平苔藓患者,TIM3的阳性表达率高于非糜烂型口腔扁平苔藓患者,差异均有统计学意义(P﹤0.05)。不同分化程度、淋巴结转移情况口腔鳞状细胞癌患者口腔鳞状细胞癌组织中Galectin-9的表达情况比较,差异均有统计学意义(P﹤0.05);不同分化程度口腔鳞状细胞癌患者口腔鳞状细胞癌组织中TIM3的表达情况比较,差异有统计学意义(P﹤0.05)。Pearson相关分析结果显示,口腔扁平苔藓和口腔鳞状细胞癌患者中Galectin-9和TIM3的表达均呈负相关(r=-0.415、-0.437,P﹤0.01)。结论Galectin-9和TIM3可能参与口腔扁平苔藓及口腔鳞状细胞癌的发生发展,并可能与口腔扁平苔藓的癌变有关。

Expression and significance of galectin-9 and T-cell immunoglobulin mucin family member 3 in oral lichen planus and oral squamous cell carcinoma

Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of galectin-9 and T-cell immunoglobulin mucin family member 3(TIM3)in oral lichen planus and oral squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).Method A total of 42 specimens of oral lichen planus tissues,25 specimens of oral SCC tissues and 30 specimens of normal oral mucosa tissues were collected.The expression of galectin-9 and TIM3 in the three groups of tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry,the relationship between expression of galectin-9 and TIM3 and the clinical features in patients with oral lichen planus and oral SCC was determined.The correlation between galectin-9 and TIM3 expression in patients with oral lichen planus and oral SCC was investigated using Pearson correlation analysis.Result The positive expression rate of galectin-9 in oral SCC tissues was lower than that in oral lichen planus tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues,besides,the positive expression rate of TIM3 was higher in oral SCC tissues than that in normal oral mucosa tissues,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);lower positive expression of galectin-9 was noted in oral lichen planus tissues than in normal oral mucosa tissues,while TIM3 demonstrated higher expression in oral lichen planus tissues compared to normal oral mucosa tissues(P<0.05).Erosive oral lichen planus tissues were associated with lower positive expression of galectin-9 in comparison with non-erosive oral lichen planus tissues,and with higher positive TIM3 expression than in non-erosive oral lichen planus tissues,the differences were of statistical significance(P<0.05).Degree of differentiation and lymph node metastasis were related to glectin-9 expression in oral SCC tissues(P<0.05);degree of differentiation was related to TIM3 expression in oral SCC tissues(P<0.05).The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression of galectin-9 and TIM3 in patients with oral lichen planus and oral SCC were both negatively correlated(r=-0.415,-0.437,P<0.01).Conclusion Galectin-9 and TIM3 may be involved in the occurrence and development of oral lichen planus and oral SCC,and are presumably related to cancerous change of oral lichen planus.
