住院精神疾病患者死亡调查分析

目的调查住院精神疾病患者死亡原因,为减少病人意外死亡,及时发现躯体疾病而采取有效防范措施提供依据。方法回顾性调查本院1976年1月～2005年12月在住院期间发生死亡(含请假外出)的病历76份。结果躯体疾病成为住院精神疾病患者的主要死亡原因(65.79%),在总死亡率逐渐下降的情况下,躯体疾病死亡率呈增加趋势(P<0.005);躯体疾病从被发现到死亡时间较短,平均3.6天;酒精中毒性精神障碍患者比例较大(13.16%)。结论在防止精神疾病患者意外死亡的同时应仔细观察病人生命体征等一般情况,及时给予综合对症处理,以有效预防精神疾病患者的死亡。

Investigation of accidental deaths of hospital patients of mental illness

Objective In this paper,we investigate the death causes of hospital patients of mental illness(HPMI),in order to prevent and reduce accidental deaths of HPMI by promptly diagnosing their Physiological Illness(PI) and providing effective treatment.Methods We analyzed the 76 death records of HPMI during the period from January 1976 through December 2005.Results We have found that most of the accidental deaths of HPMI were caused by patients' other PI's(65.79%).Even when the total number of accidental deaths decreased,the deaths caused by patients' PI remained high and the mortality rate increased(P<0.005);We have also found that the average time from diagnosis of PI to a patient's death was about 3.6 days;Among those accidental deaths,the highest PI death cause was alcoholic poisoning(13.16%).Conclusions We conclude that close monitoring of a patient's signs of PI and its early diagnosis is the most effective way to prevent accidental death of HPMI.For those HPMI with PI,the most effective treatment is the combination of physiological treatment and psychological treatment.
