Chloramphenicol Prednisone Liniment in the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis in Mice

Objective:To study the therapeutic effects of chloramphenicol prednisone liniment on acute atopic dermatitis in mice.Methods:Forty-eight mice were equally divided into the blank group,model group,control group and experimental groups(low dose group,medium dose group and high dose group),with 8 cases in each group.Except for the blank group,atopic dermatitis model was established by dinitrochlorophenone solution in all the other 5 groups.The blank group and model group were given normal saline.The control group was given 1%pimecrolimus cream.The experimental groups(low dose group,medium dose group and high dose group)were given corresponding concentration of chlorine respectively,once a day,7 d for 1 course of treatment.After treatment of 24 h,the therapeutic effects of chloramphenicol prednisone liniment on atopic dermatitis in mice were evaluated by indicators of serum IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-5,IgE,ear swelling,thymus indicator,spleen indicator and skin thickness.Results:After treatment of 7 d,the levels of IL-4,IL-5 and IgE in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the model group(P<0.05),the levels of IFN-γwere significantly higher than those in the model group(P<0.05),the degree of ear swelling,thymus indicator,spleen indicator and skin thickness in the medium dose group and high dose group were significantly lower than those in the model group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chloramphenicol prednisone liniment has anti-bacterial,anti-inflammatory,anti-allergic and immune-regulating effects,which can improve the symptoms of atopic dermatitis,regulate the balance of Th1/Th2 cells,and has significant therapeutic effects on atopic dermatitis in mice.Chloramphenicol prednisone liniment can be used for the treatment of similar inflammatory skin diseases.
