When applying hospital information system(HIS),data quality,the foundational elements in HIS is the most important factor.The problems caused by data quality will seriously affect the veracity and reliability of management of hospital such as daily affairs management,statistical analysis,prediction and decision and so on.The major factors that affect data quality are as follows: inadequate concentration on data quality for a long time,imperfect data control and management system,lack of unified standard and regulation of original data input,poor personnel quality training,systematic problems in hospital information system and security problems in program,hardware and network.
