| Abstract: | The in vitro effects of platelet activating factor (PAF) on intracellular adenosine 3',5'-cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) accumulation were assessed in human lymphocytes in ten healthy volunteers and in eight asthmatic patients. Platelet activating factor to increased intracellular cAMP in both groups. In addition, PAF also enhanced the effects of isoproterenol and theophylline on intracellular cAMP production in these two groups. |
