Abstract: | At least three types of spontaneous impulse activity of neurons are identified: single spikes, short bursts of impulses, and alternating periods of single impulses and bursts. In rabbits with experimental diabetes mellitus a marked shift of the middle-frequency distribution of spontaneously-active neurons to higher frequencies is observed.
