Abstract: | Recently introduced low osmolality contrasts produce less pain on injection and decrease other adverse side effects of angiography; however, converting completely to these agents is prohibitively expensive. Reserving low osmolality contrasts for high risk patients can provide a marked reduction in the increased cost associated with low osmolality contrasts, while at the same time reducing overall adverse side effects. |
