| Abstract: | Objective To investigate anti inflammatory effect of Gutongling ointment. Methods Fourty animals were divided into control and three different concentration (20%,40% and 80%) groups of Gutongling ointment. Anti inflammatory effect of Gutongling ointment was carried through inflammatory models of auris swell induced by dimethylbenzene in mice, of foot swell induced by egg white and carageen glue in rats, of gasbag swell induced by croton oil in rats and penetration of capillary vessel. Results Gutongling ointment (40% and 80%,local use for three days) had significant inhibitory action on auris swell induced by dimethylbenzene in mice, foot swell induced by egg white and carageen glue, gasbag swell induced by croton oil and penetration of capillary vessel in rats. Conclusion Gutongling ointment has significant inhibitory effects on many experimental inflammatory models. |
