Anatomic topographic study of the latissimus dorsi muscle of the spine in relation to cardiomyoplasty |

| Abstract: | The results of an anatomo-topographical study of the latissimus dorsi muscle in relation to surgery for cardiomyoplasty are discussed. The vascular anatomy of 25 flaps formed from the muscle were studied on the basis of the findings of angiography. The results allowed the conclusion that the latissimus dorsi muscle can be used as a transplant in operation for cardiomyoplasty. |
