The effect of dichlorvos on cultured human lymphocytes

Dichlorvos (2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate) was added at specific intervals to cultures of human lymphocytes at concentrations ranging from 1 to 40 g/ml. Subsequent examination showed that dichlorvos was cytotoxic to cells at concentrations of 5 to 40 g/ml and that cytotoxicity was not accompanied by significant cytogenetic changes.
