胶质瘤治疗研究热点剖析

胶质瘤具有浸润性生长的特点,常规的手术、放疗和化疗难以治愈,而复发又几乎都在局部,因此人们对胶质瘤的局部治疗进行了许多探讨,遗憾的是成效甚微。晚近的研究提示,特别是肿瘤干细胞理论的提出,胶质瘤应该是一种全身性疾病的局部表现。因此,人们在胶质瘤治疗的研究中,对包括化疗和免疫治疗的全身治疗予以了高度重视。如果胶质瘤干细胞的理论成立,那么寻找针对胶质瘤干细胞的治疗途径,才有望达到根治肿瘤的目的,因此也是我们的研究方向。

Understanding Hot Field of Researches for Glioma Treatment

Glioma is still difficult to be cured even though surgery, irradiation and chemotherapy since their biological invasiveness. Recurrence almost always occure locally, so that many local treatment strategies for gliomas have been intensively investigated, but unfortunately only very limited progress have been achieved. Recent studies, especially the concept of cancer stem cell, have suggested that currently recognized glioma could be a local symptom of system disease. Thus, the system treatments, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, have been paid more attention recent years. It is obviously that, if the hypothesis of glioma stem cell is correct, the way of curing glioma should be heading for the stem cell, and thus our direction of study.
