Observation of a recipe for warming yang and inducing diuresis for benefiting qi on ventricular remodeling after chronic heart failure

Objective To investigate the effect of a recipe for warming yang and inducing diuresis for benefiting qi on ventricular remodeling after chronic heart failure（CHF）.Methods 210 cases of CHF were randomly divided into two groups.103 cases in control group were treated by conventional therapy.107 patients in treatment group were treated by combination of a recipe for warming yang and inducing diuresis for benefiting qi and conventional therapy.The therapeutic course was six weeks in two groups.After a course AngⅡ,BNP,ALD,MMP-2,EDVI,ESVI,LVEF and WMSI were measured before and after treatment.Statistics of clinical efficacy and drug safety assessment were finished.Results The total effective rate in treatment group（98.1%） was superior to that in control group（91.3%,P〈0.05）.AngⅡ,BNP,ALD and MMP-2 after treatment were significantly decreased as compared with those before treatment in two groups（P〈0.05,P〈0.01）.The decrease of AngⅡ,BNP,ALD and MMP-2 in treatment group was more than those in control group after treatment（P〈0.01,P〈0.05）.EDVI and LVEF after treatment were increased in comparison with those before treatment in two groups（P〈0.05,P〈0.01）.ESVI and WMSI were obviously decreased（P〈0.01,P〈0.05）.There was significant difference between two groups（P〈0.01）.Conclusion A recipe for warming yang and inducing diuresis for benefiting qi can improve the levels of plasma AngⅡ,BNP,ALD and serum MMP-2 in patients with CHF,improve cardiac function and reverse ventricular remodeling after CHF.
