Effect of bicalutamide capsule on postoperative recovery of patients with prostate cancer

Objective To observe the effect of bicalutamide capsule on postoperative recovery of patients with prostate cancer.Methods Eighty patients with prostate cancer in Hongxing Hospital of the 13 th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from April 2016 to December 2019 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group,40 cases in each group.The control group received prostate cancer surgery,and the observation group was treated with bicalutamide capsule on the basis of the control group.The short-term efficacy,the changes of prostate-specific antigen(PSA)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)levels,the improvement of quality of life and the occurrence of adverse reactions(decreased sexual function,bone pain,urinary tract obstruction,breast development,spinal cord compression)were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After 6 months of treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was 97.50%,which was higher than 85.00%of the control group(χ²=3.914,P=0.048);After treatment,the levels of PSA and VEGF in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the levels of PSA and VEGF in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01);The total improvement rate of quality of life in the observation group was 97.50%,which was higher than 82.50%in the control group(χ²=5.000,P=0.025);The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 20.00%,which was lower than 55.00%in the control group(χ²=10.453,P=0.001).Conclusion The effect of bicalutamide capsule on postoperative recovery of patients with prostate cancer is significant.It can quickly improve the clinical symptoms of patients,improve the quality of life of patients,and reduce the risk of adverse reactions,which is worthy of clinical application.
