Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of predictive risk management on medical device-related pressure injury in the operating room. Methods Eighty inpatients who planned to undergo surgical treatment in Anhui Provincial Hospital between January 2018 and January 2020 were selected including 40 patients admitted after January 2018 (control group) and 40 patients admitted after a month of interval (observation group). The patients in observation group were treated with predictive risk management. And the patients in control group were given routine nursing. The general conditions of surgery, risk of pressure injury, early warning reaction time, the incidences of pressure injury and high-risk pressure injury, nursing quality and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in operation time, intraoperative blood loss and surgical position between the two groups (P>0.05). However, the postoperative hospital stay of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the Braden scores of both groups increased which showed more significantly in observation group. And the early warning response time in observation group was significantly shorter than that in control group (P<0.05). The incidence of pressure injury and the proportion of high-risk pressure injury in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The scores of nursing quality, nursing responsibility, nursing attitude and nursing satisfaction were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Predictive risk management can reduce the incidences of pressure injury and the medical device-related pressure injury in the operating room, which is beneficial to improve the nursing quality and shorten the length of hospital stay.
