Protective Effect of Regulating Spleen and Stomach Acupuncture Combined with Integrated Nutrition Intervention on Renal Function of Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective:To explore the protective effect of regulating spleen and stomach acupuncture combined with integrated nutrition intervention on renal function of patients with diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods:A total of 68 cases of patients with DN who were treated in Shunyi District Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2015 to April 2017 were divided into a control group(n=32)and an observation group(n=36)according to different treatment methods.Patients of 2 groups were given routine dietary guidance and comprehensive nutrition intervention.All patients were implemented acupuncture treatment.The control group was acupointed based on Xiaoke Formula,and the observation group was acupointed by regulating spleen and stomach acupuncture.6 d for 1 treatment course,2 groups were treated for 6 courses continuously.The clinical efficacy and the improvement of clinical symptom score,blood glucose and renal function index of the 2 groups were compared before and after treatment.Results:The total effective rate was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the total score of clinical symptoms in the 2 groups were significantly lower than that before treatment,the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01).Compared with that before treatment,the levels of FBG,2 h PBG and HbA1c significantly decreased in the 2 groups after treatment,and the observation group was significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The levels of UAER andβ2-MG in the control group significantly decreased,GFR significantly increased(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and the difference between the 2 groups was significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The regulating spleen and stomach acupuncture combined with integrated nutrition intervention can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with DN,effectively regulate glucose metabolism,reduce proteinuria,delay the renal dysfunction and improve the overall therapeutic effect.
