Progress of proteomics technology in idiopathic interstitial pneumonia

Proteomics is a new research of the post-genomic era that aims at the analysis and identification of entire proteins present in the cell tissue or the organism. It focuses on the relevant techniques such as two dimensional gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, protein microarray and bioinformatics. This article has reviewed the new advancement of proteomics and its applications in idiopathic interstitial pneumonia recently, which provides a new direction about early diagnosis and treatment.
