Abstract:Orthodontics is an important part of stomatology, with complex knowledge, abstract content,and strong theoretical and practicality. Using traditional two-dimensional teaching methods causes students to be more strenuous in the learning process. In addition, with fewer class schedules, it is difficult for students to master orthodontic theory and practical techniques within a limited number of hours and cannot meet the requirements of clinical orthodontics teaching. In recent years, digital technology has been widely used in the inspection, diagnosis, treatment,curative effect evaluation and other aspects of orthodontics due to its advantages of simple operation, high efficiency and convenience, structural visualization, and true reflection of three-dimensional shapes. Case-based Teaching, CBL is a case-centric teaching method. In recent years, some scholars have been applied to the field of medical education and have achieved significant results. This study summarizes the application progress of digital-assisted CBL in orthodontics teaching in recent years, with a view to improving the teaching quality of orthodontics teaching in my country.
