Discussion on Cultivating TCM Thinking of Standardized Medical Residency Training in the Department of Endocrinology of TCM Hospital

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)endocrinology is a comprehensive subject,involving multiple systems of the body,mainly to treat endocrine and metabolic diseases.The incidence of various endocrine and metabolic diseases such as diabetes,hyperthyroidism,and gout are increasing,which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and increases the social burden.TCM plays an important role in the endocrine and metabolic diseases with diabetes.Therefore,the study of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of endocrine and metabolic diseases is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of clinical diseases.However,due to the difference between the thinking modes of Western medicine and Chinese medicine,simply applying the standardized training model of Western medicine for training residents in traditional Chinese medicine can easily lead to the disadvantages of inadequate knowledge of Western medicine and inadequate learning of TCM.Therefore,strengthening TCM endocrine thinking training plays an important role in improving the clinical ability of doctors and cultivating doctors who are competent in TCM clinical positions.This article aims at cultivating TCM thinking and focuses on the key issues of combining the traditional training model of teachers with apprentices and the standardized training model of western medicine.And from consolidating basic knowledge,returning to classic TCM theories,learning TCM philosophy,multi-form and multi-mode teaching,and improving the assessment system,and other aspects,to discusses the training of TCM thinking for residents in the department of endocrinology of TCM Hospital.
