Abstract: | Surgical aortic reimplantation of the anomalous origin of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery in a 16-year-old boy is reported. One-year angiographic follow-up showed patency of the reimplanted coronary ostium, normalization of left ventricular segmental wall motion and volume, and reduction in the caliber of the right coronary artery. This is the surgical correction procedure of choice in anatomically feasible cases. |
