Abstract:Objective: Understand potassium chloride sodium chloride injection and commonly used antimicrobial drug compatibili-ty, whether to produce toxic effects to reduce or increase change. Methods: In vitro experiments: Under ambient conditions, to stud-y the changes of appearance, pH value, osmotic pressure molar concentration, turbidity and purity, clinically relevant concentrations of the potassium chloride and sodium chloride injection were mixed with several antibacterial agents, and observed the changes at 0, 30, 60 and 120 min, In vivo experiments: Clinically relevant concentrations of the potassium chloride and sodium chloride injection and double it was respectively mixed with 13 antibacterial agents, and then, the mixture was attached to an intravenous drip to rab-bits. At the same time, ECG and respiratory rate was recorded after 5, 18, 36 min. Result: At room temperature, potassium chlo-ride and sodium chloride injection was mixed with 13 antibacterial agents, the physical and chemical properties were no significant difference observed with the control group at different times. Conclusion: At room temperature, there was no change in reduced effi-cacy or increased toxicity of the mixture of the potassium chloride and sodium chloride iniection with commonly used antibiotics, and the mixture was stable.
