| Abstract: | The mannose receptor (MR) is a calcium-dependent C-type lectin that is expressed on some macrophages, immature dendritic cells, endothelial, and epithelial cells. The most important feature of MR is the capability to distinguish self from non-self molecules through the interaction of multiple CRDs. The purpose of the short review is to summarise the structural and functional properties of MR. |
