Analyzing the welfare of medical care market under incomplete competition

Medical care market,which was a typical incomplete competitive market in which market mechanism in collocating health resources was limited,had its own characteristics different from other merchandise markets.In the market,various factors influenced private welfare and social welfare,especially medical insurance intervening.Thus,it was hard to measure the welfare with single economic indicator.Investigating the particularity of medical care market,the author analyzed the welfare of medical care market under two kinds of condition respectively and concluded that selecting the better as policy goal was more realistic if the optimum could not be achieved.
