Abstract:Purpose To investigate expression and prognostic significance of peroxiredoxin-6(Prdx6)in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).Methods The expression of Prdx6 and its relationship with clinicopathological data and prognosis in 286 DLBCL cases were analyzed retrospectively.Results The expression of Prdx6 in DLBCL was higher than that in normal lymph nodes(χ2=17.69,P<0.001).The positive expression of Prdx6 in non-GCB DLBCL was higher than that in GCB DLBCL(χ2=21.771,P<0.001).Strong immunoreactivity of Prdx6 was associated with B-symptoms(χ2=4.872,P=0.027)and the level of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)(χ2=5.965,P=0.015).Of the 124 patients were followed up,the prognosis of stronger Prdx6 expression group was worse than that of negative Prdx6 expression group(χ2=6.998,P=0.008).Conclusion Prdx6 expression level in DLBCL is significantly higher than that in nomarl lymph nodes,and it is positively associated with non-GCB,B-symptoms and LDH.Meanwhile,the high expression of Prdx6 in DLBCL is closely related to the prognosis of patients,suggesting that it may play a key role in the formation and development of DLBCL.
