Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To hydrolyze of 4,4-disubstituted-2-phenyl-2-oxazolin-5-one 1 in base.METHOD:Using ultrasonic irradiation to promote the hydrolysis of 1.RESULTS:1 hydrolyze very quickly with the presence of ultrasonic irradiation and N-benzoyl-α,α-disubstituted glycines were obtained. In room temperature the reaction was completed within 15 min while it had to stir for 24 h without ultrasonic irradiation.CONCLUSION:Ultrasonic irradiation promotes hydrolysis of 1 in base effectively.
