Abstract:Bursts of ventricular pacing are effective for terminating hemodynamically tolerated ventricular tachycardia (VT).1 Endocardial stimulation using temporary transvenous pacemakers has been the preferred method for effecting VT termination. Zoll et al2,3 developed a noninvasive, external cardiac pacemaker that has been effectively used for management of patients with bradyarrhythmic events. In this report we describe successful use of the noninvasive cardiac pacemaker to terminate VT using bursts of rapid ventricular pacing.
