Nursing of epileptic patients with X-knife therapy guided by PET

Through a restrospective study of 210 refractory epilepsy patients with X-knife therapy guided by PET on nursing basis, the authors conclude timely, right and complete perioperative nursing is key to the success of treatment. Before PET examination, blood sugar should be controlled normally; at the examination, nucleic drug should be injected in a right way and after it, patients should be asked to drink as much water as possible to accelerate excretion of drugs. In the treatment with PET, nursing should accompany patients through the course. Before treatment, preventive drugs should be applied to them in advance to prevent its attack when treated. After treatment, close observation and rehabilitative nursing both are necessary.
