| Abstract: | A 72-year-old man developed a soft-tissue sarcoma anterior to his left knee. The tumour was excised widely combined with an extensive patellectomy. A gastrocnemius flap including Achilles tendon was used successfully to cover the soft-tissue defect and to reconstruct the knee extensor mechanism. |
