Changes of Th and Treg Cells in Patients With Methamphetamine Dependence During the Period of Compulsory Isolation and Rehabilitation

Objective:To analyze the expression levels of CD4⁺T lymphocyte,Th1,Th2,Th17 and Treg cells in peripheral blood of patients with methamphetamine dependence during the period of compulsory isolation and rehabilitation withdrawal.Methods:Thirty newly diagnosed patients with methamphetamine dependence admitted to our hospital before December 2019,35 patients with compulsory isolation and withdrawal for 6 months,12 months and 20 months were selected as the case group,and 30 healthy persons in the same period were selected as the control group.The expression levels of Th1,Th2,Th17 and Treg cells in peripheral blood mononuclear cells were detected by flow cytometry.Results:The proportion of CD4⁺T cells,Th1,Th17 cells,Th1/Th2 and Th17/Treg ratio in peripheral blood of patients with METH dependence were lower than those in normal control group,and the ratio of Th2 and Treg cells was significantly higher than those of normal control group(P<0.05).During the period from 0 months to 20 months,CD4⁺T cells and Th1 cells in peripheral blood of patients with METH dependence showed an increasing trend,Th2 and Treg cells showed a decreasing trend,while Th17 was always at a low level.Conclusion:This study shows that with the extension of the rehabilitation and withdrawal period of methamphetamine dependent patients,monitoring the expression levels of CD4⁺T cells,Th1,Th2,Th17 and Treg cells during the withdrawal period may be helpful to understand the immune status of those patients,and provide some useful new diagnostic and evaluation indicators for medical workers in compulsory isolation and rehabilitation.
