Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of three-dimension brain volume imaging(3D-BRAVO)sequence in diagnosing the cerebral venous and sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods Fifteen patients with CVST were all performed contrast-MRI exams and the images data were studied retrospectively.A total of 90 venous and sinus segments were collected in MR scans.The ROC curve analysis was used to compare the accuracy of different MR sequences in detecting thrombosis.Results There were totally 43 segments with thrombosis in all 15 patients.The detection rate of CVST by 3D-Bravo sequence was highly consistent with the results of image comprehensive evaluation,while some clots were misdiagnosed and missed in the sequences of TOF and PC-MRV.The ROC curve figured out the AUCs of TOF and PC-MRV sequences were 93.1%and 80.7%respectively(all P<0.5),which was significantly lower than that of 3D-BRAVO sequence.Conclusion 3D-BRAVO sequence shows higher efficiency in the detection of venous and sinus thrombosis,as well as provides more subtle anatomical structures of the clots.
