Investigation and analysis on the current situation of health managers in military convalescent institutions

Objective By understanding the current situation of health managers in military convalescent institutions in China,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the role of health managers,so as to provide reference for further playing the role of health managers.Me thods A total of 136 questionnaires were collected from the personnel who have obtained the qualification certificate of health manager in military convalescent institutions in Shanghai,Tianjin,Guangdong,Shandong,Liaoning,Jiangsu and Hebei.Re s ults Among the 136 questionnaires,123 were valid,and the effective rate was 90.44%.Among the 123 health managers in military convalescent institutions who effectively participated in the survey,116 were women(94.31%),110 were undergraduate(89.43%),91 were nursing majors(73.98%),44 were primary professional titles(35.77%),and 60 were intermediate professional titles(48.78%);More than 70%of the respondents are currently engaged in work related to health management,43(34.96%)in the health management/physical examination department and 32(26.02%)in the convalescent department;88(71.54%)did not participate in the internship or practice of relevant units after obtaining the qualification certificate of health manager;97 people(78.86%)thought that the current health managers had only played a partial role.Conclus ion The research shows that it is urgent to set up the post of health manager in military convalescent institutions,improve the practice and continuing education system of health managers,and give full play to the role of health managers.
