| Abstract: | OBJECTIVE To detect 3 of single nucleotide polymorphisms（SNP） site g.460CT,g.1805GT and g.3375GC in the Forkhead-box j1（Fox j1） gene and evaluate the association of these SNPs with asthma susceptibility in Korean-Chinese population.METHODS The SNPs g.460CT,g.1805GT and g.3375GC were genotyped in 32 patients of asthma and 50 cases of healthy population of Korean-Chinese by using polymerase chain reaction（PCR） and direct sequencing method.The Chi square test was used to evaluate the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.RESULTS These Fox j1 SNPs were polymorphic in Korean-Chinese population,and the gene frequencies and genotype frequencies between asthma and control groups were consistent with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.No statistically significant difference was observed in the distribution of genotype and allele frequency between two groups（P0.05）.CONCLUSION The SNPs g.-460CT,g.1805GT,g.3375GC in the Fox j1 gene aren＇t associated with asthma in Korean-Chinese population. |
